Protect Your Structures With Flame-, Weather- & UV-Resistant Fabrics
As someone who's passionate about the quality and performance of your property, you require high-performing architectural fabrics that maximize ROI, reduce maintenance and ensure your projects are executed to code—we offer a wide array of fabrics that check all of the boxes.
There's probably no more important Shelter-Rite® fabric performance property than their ability to resist flames. Synthetic resin-coated polyester fabrics react differently than conventional building materials in the presence of a fire. The best way to describe the flame resistance of PVC-coated fabric is that it is “limited combustible." The material will burn when in the presence of a flame source but it will self-extinguish once the flame is removed—ultimately creating a flame-resistant fabric structure.
Weather & UV Resistance
A critical performance factor in assuring a long-lasting structure is the ultraviolet (UV) light and weathering resistance of the synthetic resin-coated polyester fabric. Any building material exposed to the sunlight, wind, rain, snow and air-borne pollutants will exhibit some form of degradation over time. The principle in extending the life of a structure is to maintain the tensile strength of the base fabric. Shelter-Rite’s proprietary coatings are weather resistant and protect the base fabric from UV light.
Top Coats, Colors & Translucency
