When Legacy Building Solutions, a leading manufacturer of fabric buildings, needed the best exterior possible for The Oklahoma City Tennis Center at Will Rogers Park, the company relied on Shelter-Rite’s 8028 architectural fabric. The end result was a facility that earned an award of excellence from the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
The Shelter-Rite® 8028 architectural fabric covers the roof and walls of the building in vibrant custom colors. Its choice helped earn the building one of eight 2016 Outstanding Facility Awards in the Large Facility category because of its longevity, durability and color. Like all other Shelter-Rite architectural fabrics, the 8028 fabric is:
- Designed to exceed 20 years of use and backed by a warranty
- Puncture-, tear-, peel- and fire-ability
- Customizable to be virtually any color with architectural-grade pigments that are designed to last through decades of UV rays and storms
Shelter-Rite stood out because the end customer wanted the tennis center to last more than 20 years and look great the whole time. Shelter-Rite created custom panels in tan and green to deliver a striking appearance.
Delivery and installation were important factors in the decision making process as well. Shelter-Rite was able to create and deliver the large order in less than 30 days thanks to its domestic production and high-touch customer service. The remade fabric panels were designed to fit the existing steel beams in tracks, making installation fast and easy. This was particularly important because the customer wanted the entire project done quickly—the whole building went up in less than a month.
