ODOT Facility Relies on Shelter-Rite Architectural Fabrics for Bulk Storage Facility

Prior to 2012, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) stored roadway deicing salt out in the open under large tarps. However, the 50,000 ton salt supply was not adequately protected from wind and precipitation, and could easily become compromised as a result. In order to eliminate corrosion concerns, ODOT chose Shelter-Rite Architectural Fabrics for the job. A tensioned structure covered in over 90,000 square feet of fabric was installed at the Tulsa Port of Catoosa.
